Hello! my friends

Sibilla Cards to me aren’t about exploring the inner self or searching the meaning of life. In fact I consider then to be rather mundane and earthly. And since Earthly things happen in earthly places, then we need to know where we will encounter our future.

So here’s a list of the places to be associated with each card. There are a few of which I’m not convinced yet, I’ll let you know which ones. I’m hoping to get your opinion on all of them and specially the ones I’m not sure about just yet.

The Significator cards for places are : Stanza and Casa. The cards that follow any of these 2 will indicate where.

Casa: Represents a building, edification or construction of some sort.

Stanza: Represents a place or space in particular.

An example of this would be:

Stanza + Donna di Servizio = Kitchen

Casa + Donna di servizio = Restaurant

When you get the 2 of the together it means the following:

Stanza + Casa = Your House

Casa + Stanza = Your Room

Now the list of Places:

Cards like: Fortuna, Amore, Morte, Fedelta, Constanza and Speranza are abstract concepts. They have no place.

The 3rd card will always give more info.

Fiori:

1: Square, Public places, Convention center, Meeting Place

2: Luxurious Place, Beautiful.

3: Airport. (Q1 + F3 = Garage)

4: Friends house

5: ————-

6: Place where you wish to go.

7: (with signs of travel) Hospice, Hostel, Inn, Hotel. Orphanage, Shelter.

8: CofeeShop, Tea Room.

9: Nightclub, bar, discotheque.

10: Intersection, hallway, not a place itself but a transitory space. Waiting room. Lobby, Reception

11: Road, highway

12: Private Place, Country Club, Social Club, Restricted access.

13: Hospital, health care center.  ( F13 + C6 = Clinic )

Quadri:

1: Personal Space, Significator card.

2: Office, Cubicle, Desk.

3: Place Where you get invited to

4: Farm, Pet Store (??????????)

5: Field, Rural enviorment.

6: College, University.

7: New Place, Kindergarten

8: Restaurant, Dinner. (Q8 + F2 = Fancy Restaurant)  (Q8 + 3F = Fast food)

                                                                                                (Q8 + F11 = Truck-stop).

9: “The Street” , Sidewalk

10: Slums. Bad part of town.  Q10 + F3 = Trailer park.

Time

Posted by Apo on January 4, 2008

Hello My Friends

As requested by Kapherus. I’m going to talk a bit on the prediction of time using the Sibilla della Zingara Deck.

When looking at the cards I cant find any correlation to specific dates like months or weeks or anything. If you wish to use your own playing card timing system, you just have to merge the date with the card that corresponds. I particularly don’t like specific dates, since I would end up relating months to card events and that dosent seem right in my head.  I rather time my reading, from the date up to to 6 months.

But we all know people get anxious and wish to know when. So here’s a few guidelines I use so I can give the person some clarity when it comes to time or speed.

As i mentioned before, To me “Il Pensiero” is father time, he dictates when will thing will occur, if such card isn’t present then feel free to improvise, using the surrounding cards, adding more cards that will give you a timing.

So far I have found the following. Many other cards don’t say when , they just say how.

Vecchia Signora: it will come to pass slowly

Disgrazia: it will be quick and sudden.

Belvedere: not too long after the reading, you will see it coming.

Viaggio: Its not a hasty card, but the querent will see results before the fifth month.

Allegria: Time is dictated by others.

Allegreza al cuore: It will happen continuously, the event will be open the whole time.

Ammalato: expect mild tardiness

Sospiri: long wait. Wont come easily.

Sacerdote and Militare: right on time.

Denari: its already here, right now.

Gran Consollazione: in the last minute.

Il Deliranti: ups and downs, it will take some time to take form.

Depending on the question it can be tricky. If someone ask, when will I find a new love interest ? and the “Militare” comes up,  right on time is not a proper answer. It could mean anything. But if you are expecting something ,then it will come when announced. If it wasn’t announced then it can be a problem.

The astro wheel Spread is also related to time. Some like to use the time span each sign covers to dictate time. I like to take the 1st house as January and 12th as December. You can also take the 1st house as the month you are doing the reading. The good thing about this is that you can count backwards and see the past, if you are on april (4th) then the card before (3rd) is march.

Time can be difficult when it comes to card readings. After all, things change, one is only able to give a scope on whats to come. People have a right to change and manage their future.

The Most Important Person in a Reading…You! (III)

Posted by Apo on January 3, 2008

Finding yourself in Tarot its even more complicated than with the Sibilla della Zingara deck. Most major arcana are related to magic and mysticism, so its hard to pick out which one is the card reader. If i had to pick one out, I would choose the magician, but it all comes down to personal choice.

That’s why in these cases you can use a very particular spread that covers all of your querents questions and also allows you to see yourself and the future of your reading.

The Astrological Wheel spread. This layout not only covers all of the querents possible questions,  it also enables you to see anything you wish to seek whether being asked or not.  You just need to know where to find it. I will expand the information on the wheel in a different post.

There’s a technic employed by some astrologers to obtain more information on certain topics inside the astrological wheel, its called turned houses. For example, if the 2nd house rules money matters and the 7th house rules matrimony , then the 8th house being the second house of the 7th is the money of your wife or husband. And so forth. this is extremely useful in card readings, since it allows you to see further into the information the cards are providing. You want to see how your brother is doing on his job?, you look at the 8th house , since its the 6th house (job) of the 3rd house (brothers and sisters). You just have to turn the houses and you keep on getting more and more info.

Now how is this related to the topic?, well , the 11th house is the house of advisers, protectors, hopes and wishes, and also the future.  There for you can see yourself and the evolution of your predictions using that house as the first house.

Its actually a lot more complicated than that. Not only can you see the future from the 11th house and forth, you can see the 11th house of each other house and it will also say what will be.

An other option to see yourself would be looking for the 4th house, since its the 11th house of the 6th house. The 6th house rules the people that work for you., and the 11th house is the future and the adviser’s, The reader work for the querent, so you could fin the reader in that house. It all depend on how you see things and how you conceive the houses and its contents.

Its a very complicated spread, you just have to play with the different options and find what you think fits best to your interests.

Hope i dint confuse anyone, its very complex. I’m open to questions, or you can look for yourself information on turned houses, there’s some info on the web that might be helpful.

The Most Important Person in a Reading…You! (II)

Posted by Apo on January 3, 2008

Hello My Friends.

This is the follow up of a previous post with the same name. In this post I’m going to continue talking about seeing yourself in a clients/querents cards. (for more information check the previous post)

As I mentioned in the first post, The “Sybila Oracle Cards” also know as “Parlour Sybil” are the ones that give it out the easiest when it comes to looking at yourself in your querents cards. Unfortunately, the Sibilla Della Zingara deck isn’t as helpful on this. I think there’s no card that I can relate directly to the reader. Perhaps, as I was mentioning to my friend and fellow Reader Kapherus in a reply to a comment he made on the  previous  post, the proper card for “the reader” when there is none specific should be the card you think  comes closer to your own conception on what a card reader or card reading is. Perhaps you see yourself as a “Messaggiere” a “Dottore” or maybe the “Giovanetta” since shes carrying a book (deck of cards) in her hands, a medicinal pouch hanging down her dress, next to a fountain that means psychic flow, or even the “Vecchia Signora” who’s sitting down with a book (deck of cards) on her hands, next to a mirror for scrying. It will all come down to how you interpret the cards and what you see in them. Other options for a card session would be ” La Conversazione” or “Riunione“, both englobe the circumstances that surround a reading. I choose not to seek for a “Readers card”, I feel I’m not supposed to with this deck.

Even thou I don’t find a “Readers card”, I do believe you can use the “Fortuna” card when you wish to see how will the future develop, if you are being paid attention to, what will the seeker/client/querent do with the information given etc. Another interesting card on this deck is “Il Pensiero” this card is father time, It will hint you on the speediness of the things you predict, using  the closeness, position and distance between the cards will tell you when and how the events will occur, take it as a plus card, that gives out info to confirm or be more specific on certain facts. Close to a fast card like ” Viaggio” or “Disgrazia” will mean a promptly resolution or development of events, while “I Deliranti”  means you are to expect certain tardiness since unexpected events fluctuate the flow of the situation, and “Letterato” signifies the seeker needs to think it over and resolve something related to the question before it comes to pass, since its not its time yet. I will add further information on the possibilities when we cover Time.

The Most Important Person in a Reading..You!

Posted by Apo on January 1, 2008

I don’t like to read the cards to myself. I usually ask a friend to do it for me or I just use an other reference to interpret the cards. My favorite right now is to pull out a number of cards asking a question and then look my friend Kapherus card meanings on his site: http://cartomancy.wordpress.com/ to see whats up. Readers have a tendency to miss the interpretation regarding their own questions and future, why is this? The same as most doctors do, they don’t check out their own test results, they are all prone to interpret them in a positive and “all is good” manner, since no one likes to see bad things coming their way. Same thing happens with Readers, who will gladly see misfortune in his path? Some are able to give themselves a reading with a cold calmed head. To me its not that easy. You may ask, why is he saying all of this? well, as I said before, you can read for yourself indirectly, either using someone else interpretations and also, your clients/querent’s cards, which is the topic of discussion.

There are several ways to see yourself in your querent’s cards. After all, everything in the querent life, past, present and future is always reflected in each draw, you just have to know how to find it and see it.

I wish to start with The Sibilla Oracle cards deck, which is the easiest when it comes to this topic.

One of the cards on this deck is called “Important Revelation” there’s an image of a woman sitting on her chair with a gentleman, probably in the military, he is writing down what she’s saying. This card is “the readers card”, it represents You inside the querent’s reading, which can be used in 2 different ways:

The first this allows you to see your own future reflected on the querent’s cards, since to me, cards work due to synchronicity, so the cards are tuned to the flow of events surrounding the querent which of course includes You!, the reader is never a passive observant, distant from the cards, you are involved in the process of interpretation and also everything that has happened to you that led you to that moment and place where you are using the cards. So why exclude yourself?.

Now, how does this work? the same way it works for the querent. There’s a significator card and you start reading from it. One could think ” This reading is not about me, its about the querent ” yes , true, but as a friend of mine says. “You cant cast a love spell for someone else if you are interested in getting rid of your current partner”. And also, as you read, sometimes you find that you have common experience with the querent, maybe you wont win the lottery together or get fired, but sometimes when you are comprehending a persons emotional situation you can see that you are in the same situation or that you have experienced it before. There is a synchronicity and connection with the querent, you can’t provide answer for things you ignore.

The purpose of this personal peek into one’s life or future using another as a medium isn’t for selfish reasons, “The Important Revelation” wont always show up in a reading, unless you are using the 52 cards in the spread. So when it does, not only will the querent  receive important news, you need to see something too, the cards work both ways.

Now the second use for this card is to see what will become of your reading. Some times the querents are little cooperative or very stubborn, this card will help you see the evolution of your prediction, what will become of it, not only what’s sure to happen ( no reading is perfect) but what actions will the querent take after the reading regarding what was said and how is your interpretation being taken, surrounded by negative cards like “Fright” or “Enemy” mean that the querent doesn’t believe you or is going to obsess about what you have said, in that case you can choose to relax knowing its not you that’s screwing up, but the client that chooses to disbelieve what you are saying or also advice the person to take it with ease and not become haunted by the reading. So they wont “preoccupy” but “occupy”.
